FOR GUA SHA HAIR & SCALP BRUSH:
For best results, sweep across the scalp twice daily while brushing clean, dry hair. Apply gentle to medium pressure depending on preference. Sweep from the front of the hairline backwards in a pulling motion while brushing hair, ensuring to make contact with the scalp during hair brushing to activate massage function.

For more instructions, please see our detailed guide on Using Your Gua Sha Brush.

To clean, wipe with a damp cloth or spray with an alcohol spray to clean or sterilize before wiping with a dry cloth. Do not wash the brush with water.
Do not use on face.

FOR FOX FACE SCULPTING GUA SHA:
Gently massage directly on skin or over clothes with medium pressure, using a comfortable pressure to release tension. Hook under the jawline and pull gently upwards 10 times, then back down 10 times.

While massaging over the eye brows in an upwards motion, look downwards and blink 10 times - stretching and relaxing the muscles around eyes to help with drooping.

How long will it take to get results?
Individual results vary, however, most would start seeing new baby hairs sprout after 3-4 months of daily use. For best results, use the brush to stimulate the scalp while using the Tetrapeptide & Ginseng Hair and Scalp Serum.

Why is there a little hole in the middle of my brush?
It may look strange, but the hole in the brush cushion (not a missing bristle) is a pinhole that allows air to flow through (and allows the rubber to press downwards). If air is trapped inside the brush, it can't maintain elasticity during brushing. The pinhole is made by our artists burning a pin through the rubber by hand and is part of how old traditional handmade brushes are created.

Can I use this brush everyday?
Yes! It’s actually best used daily, as it can really repair and nourish dry strands throughout the day. Pair with the Tetrapeptide & Ginseng Hair and Scalp Serum for best results over time.

Can I use this brush on other parts of my body?
Yes, you can scrape from the top of your scalp all the way down the nape of your neck to your shoulders for a soothing massage. Please do not use it on the face and avoid the eye area at all times.

How do I clean this brush?
Do not rinse under running water. Wipe gently with a damp, chemical-free cloth (a cotton facial cloth works best). Please do not use polishing cloths as these contain chemicals that may react with the Gold plating.

Will the pins lose their lustre?
Over time, as with any other gold-plated products, the gold will slowly wear off. Gold is a softer metal; with daily use, it is normal to find some discoloration of the pins. This doesn't affect product use or quality at all, as the pins are blend of 24K gold and Steel plating.

What is the difference between Porcelain & Ceramic?
While both are made of clay, Porcelain is fired at higher temperatures and is considered more premium due to its better durability and solid weight. It tends to be noticeably heavier than bone China or Ceramic pieces of the same size.

Why is Fine Porcelain so special as a Gua Sha material?
This 7 Blade shape cannot be cut by machine as its curves and roundness make it impossible to do so. Using fine porcelain and an expert matte glazing technique, allows for the smoothest, delicate glide over skin and fascia. All the above makes this Gua Sha very difficult and costly to produce, which is why it is extremely rare to see Gua Sha of this calibre (and also why it is only made in limited batches).

Why is it called the Fox Face Gua Sha?
Like the namesake delicate face shape of foxes, the Gua Sha got its nickname due to its main function of minimizing the look of bloated or "double" chins, facial swelling and puffiness. It is considered an advanced form of Gua Sha for those who have experience with facial yoga, anatomy and massage, or for those wanting to learn more.

How often should I use this Gua Sha?
Gua Sha experts recommend daily use especially as this 7 Blade Gua Sha can help drain submental lymphatic nodes under the chin and jaw which typical Gua Shas can't easily reach. These nodes are often neglected during most facial massage routines, but still tend to bloat and swell - leading to a common mistaking of chin fat when it's mainly water retention and sagging. If you struggle with bloating and swelling under the chin, this would be a great way to debloat in a holistic, non-invasive manner.

Besides minimizing the look of double chins and facial slimming, does this Gua Sha do anything else? Do I need to use oil with it?
The ultra-smooth Matte Glazing finish of the Gua Sha means that it can glide across the skin without pulling and tugging - additional oil, serums and skincare are entirely optional. A great pairing would be our Blueberry Bakuchiol Facial Oil.
Besides Facial Slimming, the Fox Face Gua Sha can also help lift and firm the skin, release fascia and muscle tension instantly.

24K Gold-Plated Gua Sha Needles

This is the signature traditional element used in Gua Sha brushing that our artists insist on never losing. It is considered a medicinal metal that continually activates all the Meridien & Qi points in the head through the scalp, which is why it needs to be of utmost purity. We have kept this element out of respect for our artists and their heritage. Hypoallergenic, naturally cooling and beautiful.

Meet The Artisans

Ethically made and assembled by hand in Taiwan, this specific art of brush making is fading away.
Your purchase goes towards ensuring the livelihood of our brush makers and the hopes of attracting the next generation to preserve a cultural art form and legacy.

This a beautiful story about Craft, History and Ancient Roots. You can help decide how it ends.

Our Elderly Artists

When we first met our Master artists, they were already planning to retire due to minimal orders and no apprentices. Cheap, mass industrialization off shore has decimated the demand for authentic, handcrafted reflexology tools in Taiwan. They are the last of their generation. This is why we can only produce in small, artisanal batches. Inevitably, they will retire in the next few years.

Costs of Preservation

Gold prices have been at all time highs in the past decade, making traditional Gua Sha needles extremely costly to produce. But our artists insist on keeping the authenticity & quality of their work. They would rather retire than give in to demands for cheaper metal alloy alternatives.

(We've asked).

The difference between Gua Sha Needles & metal needles

These Gua Sha needles are a lot more than meets the eye. They are still smoothed and polished by being run through river stones (as you can see below), before being plated in gold and pinned by hand - where bent or scratched pins are removed one by one.
