For best results, sweep across the scalp twice daily while brushing clean, dry hair. Apply gentle to medium pressure depending on preference. Sweep from the front of the hairline backwards in a pulling motion while brushing hair, ensuring to make contact with the scalp during hair brushing to activate massage function.

For more instructions, please see our detailed guide on Using Your Gua Sha Brush.

To clean, wipe with a damp cloth or spray with an alcohol spray to clean or sterilize before wiping with a dry cloth. Do not wash the brush with water.
Do not use on face.

How long will it take to get results?
Individual results vary, however, most would start seeing new baby hairs sprout after 3-4 months of daily use. For best results, use the brush to stimulate the scalp while using the Tetrapeptide & Ginseng Hair and Scalp Serum.

Why is there a little hole in the middle of my brush?
It may look strange, but the hole in the brush cushion (not a missing bristle) is a pinhole that allows air to flow through (and allows the rubber to press downwards). If air is trapped inside the brush, it can't maintain elasticity during brushing. The pinhole is made by our artists burning a pin through the rubber by hand and is part of how old traditional handmade brushes are created.

Can I use this brush everyday?
Yes! It’s actually best used daily, as it can really repair and nourish dry strands throughout the day. Pair with the Tetrapeptide & Ginseng Hair and Scalp Serum for best results over time.

Can I use this brush on other parts of my body?
Yes, you can scrape from the top of your scalp all the way down the nape of your neck to your shoulders for a soothing massage. Please do not use it on the face and avoid the eye area at all times.

How do I clean this brush?
Do not rinse under running water. Wipe gently with a damp, chemical-free cloth (a cotton facial cloth works best). Please do not use polishing cloths as these contain chemicals that may react with the Gold plating.

Will the pins lose their lustre?
Over time, as with any other gold-plated products, the gold will slowly wear off. Gold is a softer metal; with daily use, it is normal to find some discoloration of the pins. This doesn't affect product use or quality at all, as the pins are blend of 24K gold, Titanium and Steel plating.

Why is this brush so expensive?
Every part of this brush was made by hand, by a traditional brushmaker specializing in crafting each component. For example, the rubber is sourced raw from premium Brazilian rubber trees, hand mixed, poured and set before being cut into oval bases for pinning. The pins are made from a proprietary blend that belongs to one single family - who has been creating their signature long brush needles for generations.

Traditional wooden brushes take longer to produce and each brush is carved individually, so limited quantities are made to keep production pressure off our elderly artists. Please note that we do not accept returns or refunds for these brushes as it directly impacts our elderly artists, as well as due to safety & hygiene concerns. Due to hygiene reasons we have a no re-sell policy to ensure that your products are genuinely brand new. If there are defects, please reach out to us and we'd be happy to assist. A Note: Genuine Gold Plating Fades
Our reflexology needles are plated with real 24K gold; never mixed with cheap yellow alloys to maintain a "gold" coloring. This honors traditional medicinal beliefs that only the purest, cleanest metals should touch Qi energy and acupressure points on the scalp.
As a hallmark of authenticity, the gold will naturally fade over time to reveal the steel beneath; this does not affect the performance of your brush.

Stimulate acupressure points and promote healthy hair growth with our hand carved 24K gold-plated, premium wooden Gua Sha Hair & Scalp Brush.

How To Use

Brush From Hairline to Nape
Gently slide the needles from the tip of the hairline (above the forehead) toward the back of the head in one smooth motion, stopping at the base of the skull. Make sure that you feel the Gua Sha needles gently press against scalp with a comfortable pressure. Adjust pressure for comfort.

Repeat & Cover the Scalp
Repeat about 10 passes, covering all areas from hairline to base. Aim for 5 minutes daily, morning and night.

Extend Down the Neck
For added relief, continue the glide down the neck to ease further tension. Maintain contact with scalp during hair brushing to activate the massage function.

Meet The Artisans

The Secret Art of Hair

This is a Beautiful Story about Craft, History & Ancient Roots

Our Elderly Artists
When we first met our Master Artists, they were already planning to retire due to minimal orders and no apprentices. They are the last of their generation, and this is why we can only produce in small, artisanal batches. Inevitably, our artists will retire in the next few years.

Costs of Preservation
All-time high gold prices in the past decade have made traditional Gua Sha needles extremely costly to produce. However, our artists insist on maintaining the quality and authenticity of their work and would rather retire than give in to demands for cheaper metal alloy alternatives.

The Difference Between Gua Sha Needles & Metal Needles

Each needle is polished by being run through river stones before being plated in gold and pinned by hand. Bent and scratched pins are removed one-by-one.

Cultural Legacy
Cheap, mass industrialization offshore has decimated the demand for authentic, handcrafted reflexology tools in Taiwan. Ethically made and assembled by hand, your purchase goes towards ensuring the livelihood of our brush makers and the hopes of attracting the next generation to preserve a cultural art form & legacy.
